Nobody publishes straight answers on holiday lighting prices, so here's ours. These are typical ranges for the Orlando area — your exact number depends on your roofline footage, and we quote that for free from a photo or address.
What drives the price
- Linear footage — the roofline length being lit is the core of every quote
- Height and access — two-story rooflines and steep pitches take more time and safety setup
- Extras — palm and tree wraps, wreaths, garland, ridge lines
- Your lights vs ours — supplied commercial product costs more up front and less over time
Typical Orlando-area ranges
| Setup | Typical first season | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Single-story roofline, our lights | $600–$1,000 | Custom-cut C9 LEDs, design, install, in-season maintenance, takedown, storage |
| Two-story / larger roofline, our lights | $1,000–$1,800+ | Same full program, more footage and height |
| Hanging your own lights | $300–$700 | Install and January takedown; workmanship warranty only — product is on you |
| Renewal seasons (our lights) | Noticeably less than year one | Your display is already cut and stored; we just install, maintain, remove |
| Commercial / HOA | Quoted per property | Storefronts, plazas, entrances, clubhouses — season-long service |
Numbers assume typical Central Florida homes; unusual rooflines, heavy tree work or large commercial frontage quote higher. Every quote is free and most go out same-day.
Why the full program costs more up front and less over time
Store-bought strands are built for a price point, not for weather. Commercial-grade C9 LEDs are brighter, run cooler, and last for years — and because your set is custom-cut in year one, every season after that is just install, maintain and remove. Add in January takedown and storage (nothing in your attic, nothing tangled) and most clients who start with their own lights switch to the program by year two.
What the maintenance part is worth
Here's the part no one prices in: when a section dies over the garage on December 10th, who fixes it? On our program, we do — included. On DIY, that's you back on the ladder in the dark. It's the single biggest reason people hire this out, right next to not climbing the ladder at all.
Quick answers
When should I book? September or October if you want lights before Thanksgiving. The calendar fills front to back and commercial goes first.
Do you do takedown only? If the calendar allows in January, yes — but install clients come first.
Is there a discount for bundling? Ask about pairing lights with a house wash or gutter cleaning — the crew is already on your roofline, and clean gutters make for a cleaner install.
